Who would think that being a born and raised Iowan, I would like to go to the Bahamas in August?? What a great trip! The weather is similar to our hot days in July and add a little more humidity. If you love the sun and warm why not give it a try!
As you pull up to the resort you have a feel of being treated like English Royalty. We were whisked off to the club lounge and promptly given a cool towel that was misted with the scent of lemongrass and was refreshing after the journey. We were give a cold glass of champagne while we were getting checked in by the staff. AHH let the vacations begin!
We were escorted to our room and explained all the lovely things we saw along the way and information on where to grab a bite to eat at that moment.
From the view in the room – what do you think – no touch up print here.
There is a private island off the main island – we just caught the shuttle over and enjoyed privacy of our own little dinner and found a private spot to just chill.
We did everything to our hearts content for eating, entertainment, exercising, snorkeling – we never were looking for extras. From Caviar at breakfast to great seafood meals. WOW is the personal experience at this location.
If you wanted to leave to shop – you just caught the local bus outside the gate to the straw market or catch a ferry over to Paradise island for a trip to Atlantis and another fun area.
After all the fun it is great to wind down and sit by a romantic fire while listening to live music in the background along with the sound of the ocean — what more can you ask
If you have never been here it is really worth going – the best months if you don’t like too much humidity in my opinion are March – June and then September to December. Being close to the states the winter months may be too chilly for some.
